Welcome to the Public Works Department. We are committed to the quality of life in Battle Ground by planning, building, operating and maintaining the municipal infrastructure, managing the public’s investment, and protecting health and safety.
The department’s two divisions, Engineering and Operations are responsible for City streets, public facilities, and City-provided utilities - water, sewer, and stormwater drainage.
The City's Public Works Department plan for, builds, and maintains over 75 miles of streets and associated infrastructure such as sidewalks, signals, light, and signs.
The City of Battle Ground provides for the delivery of safe, clean water through the operations and maintenance of the City's Water System.
The sewer system consists of 58 miles of lines that discharge into the City's Equalization Basin and pumped to be treated at the Salmon Creek Treatment Plant.
The city’s Stormwater Management Program is geared towards protecting our local streams and rivers by ensuring the city complies with the Clean Water Act.
