Non-Motorized Transportation Action Plan

Connecting Key Areas of the City

The city is developing a plan to enhance non-motorized transportation options such as sidewalks, pathways, trails, and bike lanes within the city.

The project team’s initial efforts have focused on identifying gaps and barriers that might impede travel for those who walk, roll, run, bike or use other forms of non-motorized travel.  The team used variety of sources including site visits, existing data, and results from a community survey and stakeholder interviews to create an inventory and map of existing gaps and barriers.

The mapped inventory provided the team with information needed to envision and shape a series of potential loops and corridors that would connect key areas of the city.
