Two state highways bisect the City of Battle Ground - SR 502 (West Main Street) and SR 503 (10th Avenue).

Right-of-Way
Right-of-Way (ROW) is the area of land reserved for transportation and utility purposes. The City requires anyone working or placing items in the right-of-way, either permanent or temporary in nature, comply with City code by acquiring an ROW permit and meeting all other requirements.

Traffic Data Collection
The department's Engineering Division collects a variety of traffic data such as volume, type, and speed to determine appropriate speed limits, the need for additional stop control, crosswalk placement, safety improvements, and to provide information that is used in grant applications for infrastructure improvements.
