Work Crew

The judge may allow the option of Work Crew in lieu of jail time in certain circumstances. Work Crew performs service projects in the community such as maintenance of streets, roadsides, parks, building/facilities, equipment and vehicles.

Eligible participants should be able to perform light to medium physical manual labor indoors and outdoors, sometime in inclement weather conditions. Participants must also understand the English language, follow oral and written directions, and be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with those contacted during the course of work.

Work crew duties may include sweeping, painting, washing vehicles, equipment, picking up litter, shoveling, raking, picking up branches, cleaning walls/floors/windows and cutting brush/grass.

There is a $30.00 Work Crew fee, to be paid at the Battle Ground Municipal Court when signing up for Work Crew.
