Thank you for your interest in serving on the City of Battle Ground's Civil Service Commission.
In accordance with Washington State RCW 41.12, the city's Civil Service Commission is charged with ensuring that law enforcement officers are recruited through open competition, and are hired and promoted on the basis of merit.
To be eligible, an applicant must be a citizen of the United States, a resident of the City Battle Ground for a minimum of 3 years immediately preceding appointment to the commission, and a registered voter in Clark County, WA.
Commissioners are appointed by the City Manager to serve a six-year term. Commissioners are volunteers who serve without compensation.
