What can we do to affect the speed limit on our street?
A speed study is required before a change in speed zoning can occur. This can be done by simply submitting a request to the Engineering Division at (360) 342-5070. Per RCW46.61.400, a minimum speed of 25 miles per hour is allowed in the city limits with the exception of school zones and other very limited cases.
2.
How do I get my business on the Small Works Roster?
The City of Battle Ground utilizes a Small Works Roster that is administered by the Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington (MRSC). Registration and general information on MRSC’s Small Works Roster can be obtained by calling (206) 625-1300 or by visiting their website,
www.mrscrosters.org
.
3.
Who sets the timing for the traffic signals in the City of Battle Ground?
The Washington State Department of Transportation manages the timing sequences for the signals along SR 502 and SR 503, with the exception of the signals at East Main Street and Parkway Avenue and the ones at West Main Street and 5th Avenue. The City has a maintenance agreement with Clark County to maintain those signals as well as the signals at South East Grace Avenue and Eaton Boulevard.
