[ARCHIVED] BG Businesses Support Veterans Memorial Project

Mill Creek Pub Donation

Several Battle Ground businesses participated in the August 27th Yellow Ribbon Event fundraiser to benefit the Battle Ground Veterans Memorial Project: Burgerville; Catania & Co. Hair & Nail Salon; Celebration Jewelers; Coldwell Banker; Country Pet Grooming; Detroit Pizza; Kidz Cloz; Las Mesitas Mexican Restaurant; Mill Creek Pub and Rodan & Fields Dermatologists.

Total funds raised through the event are expected to reach $2,000. Many thanks to all of the participating businesses and customers who supported the Veterans Memorial Project through the Yellow Ribbon Event.

The planned Veterans Memorial, located in Battle Ground’s Kiwanis Park, will honor local veterans who have died in service to our country. The special place of honor will provide the community an area for private reflection as well as a gathering place for events honoring the fallen. The memorial design includes the names of fallen veterans from the Civil War through our most recent wars and conflicts and embodies elements dedicated to the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard.

The Parks Foundation of Clark County, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has partnered with the City to serve as the fiduciary agent, providing a mechanism to accept donations.
