[ARCHIVED] Closure of SE Grace / NE 142nd Avenue Extended to Approximately March 19

March 3, 2021 Update

The through-traffic road closure of SE Grace / NE 142nd Avenue between NE 159th Street and Eaton Boulevard has been extended until approximately March 19th.    Access to local traffic remains open.   

The road construction is a private project by Rotschy, Inc.  The extension was requested due to delays caused by the mid-February snow storm and unforeseen issues during construction.

February 5, 2021 Update

Rotschy, Inc. has notified the city they are extending the road closure to thru traffic for another month (to approximately March 5) in order to complete their work.   Access to local traffic remains open.

SE Grace / NE 142nd Avenue, between NE 159th Street and Eaton Boulevard, will be closed to through traffic for approximately 4 weeks beginning January 4.   Access to local traffic will remain open.

Rotschy, Inc, a private contractor, will be installing sewer lines and manholes within the roadway and has met all city requirements for the temporary road closure and work within the public right-of-way.  Construction will take place between NE 178th Street and NE Cedar Drive.

Through northbound traffic will be detoured west on NE 159th Street to northbound Caples Road and SR 503.   Through southbound traffic will be detoured west via Eaton Boulevard to southbound SR 503 and Caples Road.   Detour signage will be placed to assist travel.  View a map of the road closure and detours here.
