Kids can get creative over winter break with craft projects brought to you by Battle Ground Parks & Recreation.
Free supply packets for craft projects to build a snowman, a polar bear, to make a paper icicle, and create a party popper to ring in the new year are available for curbside pick-up on Tuesday, December 29 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Battle Ground Community Center located at 912 East Main Street.
Video instruction for the projects will post to the city’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/CityofBGWA) and YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdncPb-Uoz18wrk91zGhBig) beginning at noon of the same day.
Battle Ground Parks & Recreation remains committed to providing programs and activities that engage and connect the community. Virtual and curbside programs in 2020 included Yard Appreciation Week, the 8-week Summer Playground program, Halloween in the Park, and most recently the Holiday Tree Lighting, Window Wonderland, Holiday Banners on Main Street, and Read-Along with Santa. More programs and activities are being planned for 2021. Register for Parks & Recreation Events calendar notifications (www.cityofbg.org/list.aspx).
