[ARCHIVED] Battle Ground Launches its First Parklet Program in Support of Local Businesses

The City of Battle Ground has developed its first Parklet Program as a way to support local businesses by allowing them to utilize public parking spaces for outdoor service areas during Phase 2 and 3 of the Safe Start Washington plan. Clark County was approved for Phase 2 today, effective immediately.

Parklets are temporary seating or service areas located alongside a sidewalk or former roadside parking space adjacent to a licensed business location. Permitted parklets provide restaurants and retailers the opportunity to expand their service to an outdoor space in order to achieve required physical distancing.

Battle Ground businesses interested in expanding their services outdoors can find detailed information and how to apply on the Parklet Program website page .
