In a unanimous vote at their April 1 council meeting, the Battle Ground City Council took action to officially name Erin Erdman City Manager.   Ms. Erdman has served as Interim City Manager since October of last year.

“The City Council is excited to officially have Ms. Erdman on board as our City Manager,” said Mayor Mike Dalesandro, “in her time as Interim City Manager, she has shown us she is a quality leader with an exceptional work ethic and clear understanding of community needs.”

Ms. Erdman has over 15 years of experience in municipal government.  In April of 2014 she was appointed as the City of Battle Ground’s Community Development Director.   Prior to her service in Battle Ground, Ms. Erdman worked for the City of Vancouver as Lead Associate Planner, Development Supervisor and Permit Center Manager.  Earlier in her career, she was an Assistant Planner/GIS Technician with the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments.

She earned a Bachelor Degree in Geography, in which she specialized in Urban Planning, from Central Washington University.

The City Manager is appointed by City Council and, in accordance with the city’s adopted Council-Manager form of Government, serves as the Chief Executive Officer for the city, responsible for developing an annual budget for adoption by City Council and for prudent execution of City Council’s legislative priorities and goals through day-to-day management of city departments.
