F-15 City of Battle Ground

On June 14th the City of Battle Ground was recognized at the Oregon Air National Guard Base by the 142nd Fighter Wing’s Cities of Honor Program with the unveiling of nose art on an F-15 Eagle Fighter jet representing the City of Battle Ground. The Cities of Honor Program serves to recognize the outstanding community support bestowed upon members of the Oregon National Guard.

At the ceremony, Mayor Lisa Walters was presented a dedication plaque by Colonel Michael Stencel, Wing Commander of the Oregon Air National Guard's 142nd Fighter Wing and, with City councilmembers and officials, unveiled the nose art of the F-15 Eagle Fighter jet.

“The City of Battle Ground is honored to be recognized this way”, said Mayor Walters, “and we appreciate the service and commitment of our local citizens who serve in the Oregon National Guard.”
