Construction on Phase 1 of the SR-502/503 Congestion Relief Project is complete and design work is beginning on future Phases 2 and 3.
The primary goal of the project, as its name implies, is to reduce congestion at the 502/503 intersection and on Main Street (SR-502). Significant progress has been made with completed Phase 1 traffic revisions.
City of Battle Ground and WSDOT engineers are currently evaluating Phases 2 and 3 project plans and goals and are seeking public input at a project open house scheduled for Monday, March 26 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Battle Ground City Hall.
Project engineers will be on-hand to present project goals and strategies, speak to challenges and potential solutions, discuss the WSDOT practical design process, and gather public input.
The city welcomes and encourages public participation. Battle Ground City Hall is located at 109 SW 1st Street in Battle Ground.
