The city of Battle Ground has partnered with the WA State Department of Revenue and their Business Licensing Service to streamline the process of obtaining and renewing a city business license. Those doing business in the city of Battle Ground will now file for both a city and state business license through the state’s online service.
Prior to the new streamlined process, those conducting business in Battle Ground were required to complete a paper application and return it with a check for the applicable fees by mail or in person to city hall. Obtaining the related state business license was a completely separate procedure. Starting July 20th, businesses will obtain and renew the required state and city of Battle Ground business licenses through the convenience of a single online process through the state’s Business Licensing Service.
The city requires a business to hold a city business license if it is either physically located within city limits, or entering city limits to conduct business.
