Battle Ground’s unsolved history mystery… who killed Chief Umtuch? No one knows for certain, but you can explore the clash of cultures, fears and attitudes that prevailed in November of 1855 when an Indian chief lost his life and a volunteer army captain was mocked for being a peacemaker.
