[ARCHIVED] SEVERE WEATHER INFORMATION UPDATE

The City of Battle Ground Public Works Department plans for severe weather events and prioritizes main transportation corridor routes for snow plowing and sanding. A map is available at on the City’s website at www.cityofbg.org/snow.

Crews began plowing and sanding last week and will continue to do so as needed throughout the weekend. Some areas are not accessible to crews and equipment because of the number of cars left abandoned on the roadway.

Battle Ground Police are responding to injury accidents and those that block traffic. Those involved in more minor, non-injury accidents are asked to exchange information and report the accident once the severe weather has relented. If the damage is over $700 you are required to complete a WSP collision report; you can do so online at www.wsp.wa.gov.

Waste Connections has notified the City that they have implemented inclement weather procedures and will not be running residential or commercial garbage and recycling today, Monday, February 10th. Questions regarding service should be relayed to Waste Connections at 360-892-5370 or at www.wcnorthwest.com.
