Councilmember Adrian Cortes

Adrian Cortes was elected to City Council Position No. 4 in November of 2017.  Mr. Cortes previously served on council for a four-year term from 2012 - 2015.

In 2014 Councilmember Cortes earned the Association of Washington Cities' (AWC) Certificate of Municipal Leadership and in 2015 earned the Advanced Certificate of Municipal Leadership.

Prior to his service on City Council, Mr. Cortes served as an appointed member of the city's Planning Commission as Chair.

Mr. Cortes currently works for the Camas School District as an educator within the Special Education field and as an Associate Professor for City University of Seattle (Vancouver campus).

  • Master’s degree in Education (M.Ed); emphasis Educational Leadership at Concordia University
  • Doctoral school candidate (2015) at Concordia University.
  • Teaching Certificate at City University and a teaching endorsement in Special Education.
