Notice of Application/SEPA
In accordance with State regulations for Local Project Review, jurisdictions must adopt procedures for fair and timely review of development projects. Any Type II or Type III development project within the City of Battle Ground requires the city issue a Notice of Application (NOA).  

The NOA establishes the comment period in which local agencies, property owners, or any member of the public may address concerns related to the application.

In compliance with regulations, the NOA is distributed within fourteen (14) days of a development application being deemed technically complete - meaning all required information needed to complete the review process has been submitted by the applicant. The NOA is sent to all property owners within five hundred (500) feet of the proposed project, to The Reflector for publication, to any governmental agency that may have jurisdiction over an aspect of the project, and is posted on the subject property.  
The City of Battle Ground combines the comment period of the project (NOA) with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) comment period. A SEPA is required to ensure environmental values are considered during the decision-making process.
