Special Event Permits

A Special Event is defined as a temporary activity or event that is conducted wholly or in part on public property or any event on private property that involves an open invitation to the public. All special events, private parties or picnics, sporting programs, commercial sales and product distributions or promotions require a permit. Nothing can be sold, given away or an admission charged without a permit. If you are bringing a sound amplifying device, stage or plan to run an organized activity, you must have a permit. 

Special Event Permit
A Special Event Permit provides authorization to the renter/vendor to conduct or host a special event or public gathering in an outdoor venue. Examples include:

  • Festivals & Outdoor Events 
  • Skate Board & Sports Events 
  • Concerts & Performances
  • Walks, Runs and Bike Rides
  • Parades
  • Photography, Videography and Filming
  • Block Parties
  • Group Picnics
Note: If you want to conduct an event that is not listed here, please contact the Battle Ground Parks and Recreation Department for details.

Special Use Permit
A Special Use Permit provides authorization to the renter / vendor for special use of a particular item or venue. Examples include but are not limited to:
  • Stages
  • Amplified Music
  • Tents or Canopies
  • Inflatable Bounce Houses
  • Retail sales of food, beverages and/or merchandise
  • Conducting free promotions or give-a-ways of product or merchandise to the general public.

Park Rules 
For the safety and enjoyment of all people who visit and use our City parks we ask that you abide by all park rules including the following as required by City Ordinance. A complete listing of all park rules is outlined in the City Municipal Code. Violations are civil infractions that can result in immediate citation and/or removal from the park. Failure to comply can result in criminal trespass charges.
