Parks & Recreation
The Parks and Recreation Department, established in 2009, serves the community by providing opportunities to play, learn, and grow! The department manages 23 city parks, a regional skate and bike park, sports fields, the Battle Ground Community Center, the Senior Center, and the Flex-Use building. The department also partners with several local organizations to host community events, recreation programs, and service projects throughout the year.

Recreation Programs and Events 
Discover new opportunities to play, learn, and grow! Recreation programs and activities are available for the young and the young at heart. 

Facility Rentals 
There are several meeting and event spaces available to choose from, ranging from small, intimate meeting rooms and larger multipurpose rooms to the spacious Lewis River Reception Hall at the Battle Ground Community Center. 

Special Event Permits 
A Special Event Permit or a Special Use Permit is required when conducting or hosting a special event or public gathering and/or selling or giving away promotional items and products in an outdoor venue or on city property. More details in this section. 

Veterans Memorial
Kiwanis Park is the site of the Battle Ground Veterans Memorial, which honors local veterans who have died in service to their country. This place of honor provides the community with an area for private reflection as well as a gathering place for events honoring the fallen.
