Provide services, construction, and maintenance of the City's Sewer system. Provide for the safe and clean collection and disposal of sewerage. This is an Enterprise Fund. Charges for services make up nearly all of its revenue
Wastewater Collection and Transmission - Provide support for the operation, maintenance and expansion of collection system, lift stations, sludge disposal, I/I control and related equipment.
- Sustain, operate and maintain the City's sewer system and treatment facilities.
- Daily inspections and recording of flows at all Lift Stations
- Daily inspection of emergency generators at each station
- Continuous monitoring and cleaning of piping
- Upgraded telemetry at Public Works Operations center
- Removed debris and noxious weed from Sewage Lagoon
- Began lagoon maintenance program for sewer lagoon
- Installed groundwater monitoring wells for sewer lagoon
- Monitored waste water characteristics for design of proposed reuse plant
- Cleaned EQ Basin
- Air Relief inspection long Force Main Alignment
- Videotaped 10 miles of sewer main line
- Began recording sewer flows at all lift stations
- Rebuilt 2 sewer pumps
- Completed Pump Station #1 reconstruction and new grinder station
- Demolished Old Sewer Treatment Plant
- Completed Betts Bridge Force Main Improvements
- Continued sewer pipe link into GBA maintenance software
