The Battle Ground Police Department currently employs 25 commissioned officers including a Chief, a lieutenant, and five sergeants, along with four full-time civilian staff members and two full-time code enforcement officers. The department expects continual growth as the City and surrounding areas continue to develop. Local population in the City of Battle Ground has substantially increased since 1996 when it was recorded at 5,400. The current population is 16,240.
