DEPARTMENT MISSION
The mission of the Battle Ground Police Department is to provide the highest level of service while protecting the peace and improving community livability for the citizens of our city. This mission applies not only to our citizens, but to all persons who visit, work or attend school in our city. At all times the members of the Battle Ground Police Department will perform their mission consistent with the values of the organization and in a manner that protects the rights guaranteed to all persons.


DEPARTMENT VALUES
All members of the Battle Ground Police Department are expected to know and incorporate the values of the organization in the performance of their duties. The values of the Battle Ground Police Department are:

Integrity:	Of all the values of the Battle Ground Police Department, integrity is the most important. The integrity of the individual member and of the department must always be above reproach. Citizens of our community must always trust their police department and every member of our department has an obligation to uphold that trust.
Service:	All of us who are members of the Battle Ground Police Department must be dedicated to providing the highest level of service to the community. Public safety is the most essential of all public service and with it comes tremendous responsibility. Our responsibility is to provide quality service to all persons, in a professional and efficient manner, and without bias.
Respect:	Respect for all persons is an essential part of our duties as police officers and as employees of the City of Battle Ground. It is the responsibility of all members of the department to treat every person with respect and dignity. This not only applies to the people we serve in our community, but to all the men and women of the Battle Ground Police Department, regardless of their rank or position.
