When can I have my fingerprints taken and what is the cost?
A:
Fingerprints are taken Tuesdays, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and Fridays, 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The cost is $10.00 per card. You must show photo ID, (such as your drivers license), and appointments are not required. We do require that you provide a large envelope in order for the fingerprint card to be sealed in once the fingerprinting is complete. Our agency does not fingerprint for immigration purposes.

How can I get a copy of a police report and what are the fees?
A:
There is a "Request for Dissemination" form available at the front desk. Some information within police reports may be confidential, or not for disclosure under certain laws maintained in the Revised Code of Washington. Each request will be considered individually and responded to in a timely manner. The fee for copies of “police reports” is 15¢ per page. The current fee for copies of police accident reports is $5.00.

When do I need to file a traffic accident report?
A:
If you are involved in a vehicle accident and the police investigate the incident, you do not need to complete a traffic accident report. If you are involved in a traffic accident and the police do not investigate, and the damage is $700 or more to either vehicle or if there are ANY injuries, you must complete a Washington State Vehicle Collision Report. These forms are located to the right of the outside front door of the police department, 507 SW 1st Street, in a box labeled "COLLISION REPORTS".

How do I apply for a Concealed Pistol License?
A:
Residents of the City of Battle Ground or non-residents of the State of Washington, can pick up applications for a Concealed Pistol License at the front desk of the police department. Applicants living outside the city limits of Battle Ground must apply for their license within the jurisdiction in which they reside. Applicants must be 21 years of age, and must be U.S. citizens. Fingerprinting for a license is completed on Tuesdays 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and Fridays 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. There is a $55.25 non-refundable fee that must be paid at the time you are fingerprinted. The processing times takes approximately 30 days. CPL’s are valid for 5 years from date of issue.

To renew a Concealed Pistol License the non-refundable fee is $32.00 and they can be issued within 90 days prior to the expiration date of a valid license. Renewal applications may be submitted within 1 to 90 days after the expiration but a late fee of $10.00 will be charged. After 90 days the application becomes an original and you will be charged the $55.25 fee and fingerprints will need to be retaken.
