The City of Battle Ground and a group of 12 community volunteers, the Navigators, have embarked on a visioning process – called Battle Ground Roadmap – to chart the City’s future. More than 2,000 area residents have already participated in the Navigator’s Roadmap survey.
The Navigators' work continues at this October 16 meeting as they use survey results to develop branding and a draft vision that will presented to the community for input at an upcoming Open House.
The shared vision and an associated strategic action plan will serve to guide City policy, set priorities and align resources.
The October 16 Navigators meeting is from 5 – 7 pm at Battle Ground City Hall; meetings are always open to the public and we encourage community members to attend.

Anyone with expired or unneeded medications may dispose of them safely and free of charge at the Battle Ground Police Station.
All medications, prescription or over-the-counter, in pill, liquid or inhaler form will be accepted. Medications may remain in original containers, with the label attached, but medications not in the original container are also accepted. Organizers ask that lids are tight on liquid medications and that those participating refrain from including unrelated recycling or garbage with disposed medications.
While sharps and syringes are not accepted at the Battle Ground location, two Drug Take Back Event locations in Vancouver are accepting sharps: PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Urgent Care and the Cascade Park Kaiser Permanente. The event flier provides details and information on all site locations within Clark and Skamania counties.
