There's A New Engine in Town
In early 2004, the City used Fire Impact Fees from new development as well as one time tax revenues from new growth to pay for a new fire engine to serve our citizens. The engine will be deployed from the Battle Ground Fire Station by Fire District #11 who the City contracts with for fire service. The engine is intended to replace the City's existing pumper truck which was put in service in 1991. The new engine will be used for first response, while the older engine will be used for backup service. The engine was delivered to the City in late December, and will be on display at the January 20, 2005 State of the City address. We hope you have an opportunity to come out and see this new investment to serve you better.
