The effects of this unusually hot weather and related water consumption has triggered a Stage II Water Shortage Declaration in the city of Battle Ground. City residents are encouraged to increase water conservation efforts to ensure that water reserves continue to meet personal consumption and emergency response needs.
With the declaration, the city is immediately instituting a voluntary odd/even residential, commercial, industrial, and government alternate day irrigation program. Customers with a street address ending in an even number are asked to water only on even numbered days and those with street address ending in an odd number area asked to water only on odd number days. The city will restrict water use as well, with a reduction in the use of designated park and facility irrigation systems.
The Stage II Water Shortage Declaration and alternate day irrigation program will remain in effect until further notice.
