Special Event Permits
A Special Event is defined as a temporary activity or event that is conducted wholly or in part on public property or any event on private property that involves an open invitation to the public. All special events, private parties or picnics, sporting programs, commercial sales and product distributions or promotions require a permit. Nothing can be sold, given away or an admission charged without a permit. If you are bringing a sound amplifying device, stage or plan to run an organized activity, you must have a permit.
Types of Special Event Activities
A Special Event Permit provides authorization to the renter/vendor to conduct or host a special event or public gathering in an outdoor venue, whether on private or public property.

Special Use Permit
A Special Use Permit provides authorization to the renter / vendor for special use of a particular item or venue. Examples include but are not limited to:
